The latest is the LandCruiser 200 Series which scores more than $5,000 worth of extras.
Headlined by standard premium or metallic paint (normally an extra) and 18-inch alloy wheels, the limited edition eight-seat Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series Altitude will set you back $92,165 (only $1,700 more than the standard GXL model with premium paint). And considering the extras just about match the top-spec VX200 and Sahara models – that’s a great LandCruiser deal.
As well as the 18-inch alloys and ‘glitzy’ paint, the Toyota LandCruiser Altitude comes equipped with a leather-accented interior, including high-grade steering wheel and gear-lever, power-operated front seats and a chilled centre console cooler-box. There’s also a 6.1-inch LCD screen to display the satellite navigation and reversing camera images.
Power comes from Toyota’s acclaimed twin-turbocharged V8 common-rail diesel with 195kW/650Nm of trailer-haulin’, stump-pullin’ grunt and a range between refills of more than 1,300kms from its 93-litre main and 45-litre sub-fuel tanks.
With a towing capacity up to 3.5 tonnes, the Toyota LandCruiser Altitude also comes standard with ‘Cruiser GXL’s most recent technical update – trailer sway control.
