Upgraded Toyota HiLux Is Better Value
Toyota has rolled-out upgrades for the top-selling HiLux ute range and lopped the price of two key models.
The 4x2 SR turbo-diesel Double Cab and Single Cab models have both been reduced by $3,100 with the Single Cab Chassis now retailing for $26,590 and the Double Cab listed at $32,590.
Other models in the HiLux range have increased between $250 to $1,850.
Audio systems have been upgraded across the range with SR5 variants now scoring a six-CD multi-changer and colour LCD screen with a USB port and Bluetooth compatibility.
Entry-level Workmate and mid-range SR models now have a single CD player with USB port and Bluetooth compatibility.
Double Cab SR5 models also gain privacy glass on the rear door windows and back window and all SR5 models now have standard cruise control.
In addition, SR5 Double Cab 4x4 models have secured sports front seats and standard six airbags with the addition of side and curtain shield airbags.
HiLux rules the roost in the light commercial ute segment with over 24,000 sales so far in 2009 - more than double the sales if the nearest rival.
