Toyota has boosted the safety credentials of the Corolla lineup with vehicle stability control (VSC) now standard across the range.
Incorporating traction control, the system has been standard on Corolla hatch since last year and is now included across all sedan and hatch variants.
To assist drivers to steer in emergency situations, the system automatically applies the brakes to individual wheels and where appropriate, reduces engine power
Toyota research says vehicle stability control can reduce fatal crashes by one-third and reduce the risk of a rollover by up to 80 per cent.
With VSC now standard, the Corolla range (priced from $21,390) certainly enhances its value position.
