Tesla has chosen the Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne as the location for their newest retail store. It will be its first integrated showroom following the opening of two previous stores in Sydney.
Previously, Tesla had a kiosk-style presence at the Chadstone shopping centre, but now will be moving to a more permanent location.
The new Melbourne location will host two vehicles when its doors swing open in October and of course that will be the Model S sedan and soon-to-be-released Model X SUV - the only two models in the Tesla line-up until the Model 3 is made available worldwide in early 2018.
Like their other showrooms, or ‘Stores’ as they call them, the one in Melbourne will follow the EV marque’s retail model of direct-to-customer sales approach, allowing buyers to specify their car using the in-store Design Studio.
Tesla will also be offering branded merchandise and vehicle accessories at the upcoming Melbourne store and current owners will be able to enjoy the nearby Tesla Destination Charging and priority parking close to the retail amenities there.
