Tesla Model X Price Annoucned

Tesla has announced the pricing for the all-new Tesla Model X in the USA.  The Tesla Model X starts $US132,000 ($187,000) in the USA, which has lead to some reports that the Model X will be over $200,000 once it arrives in Australia.

The Model X comes with two electric motors that power the front and rear wheels.  The front wheels are powered by a electric motor that produces 193kW motor and a 375kW electric motor powers the rear wheels., Meaning the combined power output for the Tesla Model X will be 568kW.

The new Tesla Model X can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 250km/h.

Just like the Model S the Model X can be upgraded to ship with Ludicrous Mode for an additional $10,000 that bumps the price up to $142,000 ($201,000). With Ludicrous Mode engaged the Model X will do the 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

Buyers in the US will be able to reserve their Model X within the next two months and deliveries are expected to begin early in 2016.

Australian buyers wishing to get their hands on a Tesla Model X will need to wait until the end of 2016.
