Nice lines. Vague, but familiar too, aren't they?
At the upcoming 2016 Beijing Motor Show, Mazda is slated to let the world see their newest crossover that would sit neatly between, at least in naming, between their smallest CX-3 and the larger CX-5.
By the looks of things, meaning the single teaser image they’ve released, the Japanese automaker is taking at least some styling cues from their well received – because it was a stunner – Koeru Concept at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
If true, the CX-5 and the upcoming CX-4 will share a lot in terms of width and length but differ in terms of height with the new CX-4 being having a sportier and sleeker silhouette, which is one area which Mazda doesn’t seem to have trouble impressing with.
There’s no confirmation or even strong rumour upon the future crossover’s engine or new tech debuting, but it will most likely powered by Mazda’s newest generation of turbocharged SkyActiv petrol and diesel engines, a step down in terms of raw output from the imminent CX-9.
