Now that we’ve seen the all-new 7th-generation Fiesta, we’re now eagerly awaiting the arrival of the fast ST version. Earmarked for an appearance at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in early March, we now have our first small peeks at the car.

A full reveal is planned for February 24th.

Through a video released on Ford Europe’s Instagram account, the shaky, jump-cut, fast-paced, somewhat nonsensical footage, we see what looks to be a three-door version of the Fiesta racing a man wearing a shirt and tie on a BMX (for some reason) through a factory.

The car’s outer cues weren’t much visible at all, and the most material we have in order to guess just how the new ST will look like (not to mention its mechanical details) is the Fiesta ST-Line, one of many trim options announced back in November

The usual lowered suspension, body kit, larger wheels are all expected. Under the bonnet, the turbocharged 134kW 1.6-litre engine of the outgoing car produced plenty of shove for the petite hot hatch, and coupled with a manual transmission it was lauded as one of the most rewarding cars to drive for the price.

Given its popularity thanks to this configuration, Ford might elect to carry forward the drivetrain package altogether, albeit with some improvements, particularly pertaining to power and efficiency from that EcoBoost motor.
