Your Car Showroom correspondent has fond memories of earlier Suzuki Swifts having raced a couple in production car events (so we can attest to the sporty nature of one of the first Japanese ‘hot hatches’).
But even we were surprised to hear production of the pocket rocket has now passed the three-million mark.
India is the world’s largest Swift market with that country accounting for 45 per-cent of total sales. But Australia is well-represented with sales of 100,000 since 2005.
The current generation Suzuki Swift was launched in 2010.
