Headed for Australia in the New Year, Suzuki’s rapid 1.6-litre Swift Sport has just been launched in the UK.
Power comes from Suzuki’s 1.6-litre VVT engine with 100kW/160Nm on tap, driving through a new six-speed manual transmission. Suzuki says the new range-topper for the Swift lineup delivers zero to 100km/h in 8.7 seconds.
In the UK, Suzuki Swift Sport comes highly equipped with air-conditioning, cruise control, push button start and HID projector headlights.
Externally the Suzuki Swift Sport is identified by aerodynamic enhancements to the bodywork as well as the new headlights and tail-lights. Inside are sports seats and a new five-gauge instrument cluster.
Suspension modifications and revised steering deliver a more sporty driving dynamic.
On the safety front the Suzuki Swift Sport features seven airbags as standard plus ESP.
