Supply is tight for Subaru’s upcoming Forester Turbo Diesel, so Australian dealers are now taking orders with deliveries to commence in June.
“We expect supply to be quite tight and on that basis our network is now taking orders, to avoid customer disappointment,” explained Subaru’s Australian Managing Director, Nick Senior. “Based on the huge response we’ve had to our Outback diesels, we’re gearing up for significant orders.”
Forester will be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel found in the Outback. Drive is to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and maximum power is 110kW at 3600rpm with peak torque of 350Nm delivered between 1800 and 2400rpm.
Forester Diesel will be available in two model grades – 2.0D and 2.0D Premium, which gains 17-inch, alloy wheels, leather trim, sunroof, HID headlights and a power adjustable drivers’ seat.
Pricing will be announced ahead of the June launch.
