Nissan has confirmed a sporty Pulsar model is part of the all-new lineup which debuts at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney in October.
Nissan will unveil the all-new Pulsar sedan in Sydney with hatchback versions following early in 2013.
Speaking at the launch of the all-new Almera compact sedan, Nissan Australia CEO Bill Peffer said a performance version of the Pulsar is in the pipeline.
That’s good news for fans of the sporty Pulsar SSS model although Nissan would not be drawn on the likely name of the upcoming model.
Mr Peffer said the all-new Pulsar would define Nissan Australia’s future and added the sports model will gain a suitably sporty bodykit and more powerful engine.
Photos of Nissan’s all-new Pulsar are already circulating in both sedan and hatchback guises and it’s apparent the return of the Pulsar nameplate to Australia comes with a much improved and contemporary look.
Power will likely come from Nissan’s 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and Nissan knows pricing has to be sharp.
