Skoda, Volkswagen's Czech-Republic brand has joined the raft of local importers to reduce prices across the range following the 1 January drop in passenger car tariffs.
Australian customers can now purchase the handy Skoda Octavia from $24,990 (down $2,000) - for the 1.6-litre sedan (manual) while the impressive and sporty Octavia RS with its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine starts at $37,490 (manual transmIssion).
Skoda's excellent mid-size luxury model - the Superb - drops by $3,000 to start at $39,990.
The quirkily-styled and clever Roomster drops by $1,000 to start from $25,990.
Skoda's growing reputation in Europe stems from its value-for-money proposition and now these price changes mean Australian buyers should look closely at the high quality, comprehensively specified cars from the Czech republic.
