Good news for Skoda, Volkswagen’s Czech-Republic brand, with the all-new Citigo city car earning the maximum five-star safety rating after the latest round of barrier tests.
Skoda says the Citigo garnered the highest points of any vehicle in its class with EuroNCAP commending it occupant protection for adults and children. In fact the Skoda Citigo earned maximum points in EuroNCAP’s tests for three year-old children.
Skoda Citigo performed well in all categories – including pedestrian protection and additional safety assistance systems.
“The development team has done outstanding work and it has proved affordable, yet uncompromising safety is achievable even in the city car segment,” explained Skoda’s technical chief Dr. Ing. Eckhard Scholz.
