Sure to be the most glamorous SUV launched this year, Evoque –Range Rover’s ground-breaking first compact SUV will be very competitively priced from $49,995 in Australia.
Range Rover has confirmed the Evoque is being sold locally with a choice of two diesel and one petrolr engine, five-door and coupe body styles and three models grades.
Entry-level 2WD (eD4) and four-wheel-drive (TD4) Evoque models are powered by a 110kW version of Range Rover’s 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, while SD4 models gain extra power – up to 140kW. The Si4 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is good for 177kW.
Range Rover has dopted three model grades for Evoque (called ‘Design Themes’). ‘Pure’ provides a contemporary feel, ‘Prestige’ is luxury and ‘Dynamic’ is sporty.
Range Rover being Range Rover, regardless of the model chosen by buyers, impressive levels of standard equipent and technology are assured. Amongst the extras on the options list is an Adaptive Dynamics chassis and more luxurious grades of leather.
