Toyota HiLux, Australia’s best-selling ute, has an upgrade on the horizon with facelifted versions due in Toyota dealerships from September.
Toyota has released this image of the new HiLux SR5 4x4 turbo-diesel double cab model.
Immediately obvious is the new front-end which features a new bonnet, grille, headlights and front fender flares. The rear sees new clear-lense tail-lights and a fresh style for the sports bar.
Toyota says the interior scores an upgrade too with new door and seat trims.
Safety will get a boost with anti-skid brakes standard across the range.
Importantly for ute buyers, new Toyota HiLux boasts improved towing capacity – up to 2.5-tonnes for 4x4 models.
Expect a change in the model range too – Toyota says Hilux will introduce new Workmate variants to offer a wider selection of budget-priced entry-level models.
Overall Toyota will ensure the new HiLux is even better value than the current range – a range which on five occasions has been Australia’s number one, best-selling vehicle.
Toyota recently sold its 700,00th Hilux in Australia.
