Renaultsport, the company responsible for the superb RS250 Cup models sold in Australia, has really excelled this time with the launch in Britain of the Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider.
Only 50 versions are headed for the UK and they’re finished in Renault’s first matt Renault i.d paintwork – either matt Stealth Grey or Diavolo Red. Contrasting with that is gloss black finishes for the roof, rear spoiler, F1-style front blade, rear diffuser, door mirrors and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.
Rear lights get matching extra-dark tints.
Inside are leather-trimmed Recaro sports seats, a zinc grey finish for the centre console and fascia and a white tachometer. Owners can select whether to fit ‘Renaultsport Monitor’, Renault’s own on-board telemetry or Carminat TomTom Live satellite navigation.
The limited edition Clios ride on the ‘Cup’ model chassis with stiffer springs and dampers, reduced ride height, quicker steering ratio and red Brembo brake callipers.
Renault UK will announce further details and pricing when the new models arrive late October.
