Drawing wild acclaim from the French press, Renault’s high-performance Megane Renault Sport RS 250 made its Australian premier at the Australian International Motor Show.
The raucous RS 250 is available in entry-level Cup and high-spec Cup Trophee models. Both are powered by Renault’s punchy turbo 2.0-litre with 186kW/340Nm.
As part of its high-performance package, the Cup model scores a limited slip differential and beefy Brembo brakes.
Inside is a motor sport-inspired data logger allowing the driver to see engine function and peformance, G-force readings and even a lap timer for track days.
With the RS 250 and previously launched Clio Renault Sport 200 Gordini Edition, Renault has quite a stable of hot hatchbacks.
