You Car Showroom correspondent has been on-location in mainland Europe for the last two weeks and has been astounded at the numbers of Renault Megane wagons on the road. We reckon the good-looking Megane wagon would be a star ‘Downunder’ if Renault Australia could get it here.
But at the Paris Motor Show, Renault debuted a wagon version of the smaller Clio ahead of local sales in Europe from next year. Yet another good-looking car from Renault, the wagon version of the Clio targets the growing compact wagon segment in Europe – in fact its wheelbase is identical to the five-door hatchback Clio.
Luggage capacity is 430-litres (rear seats folded) and the front passenger seat folds flat to accommodate long loads.
Power comes from a turbocharged 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with 88kW on-tap or a fuel-sipping 0.9-litre three-cylinder with 66kW.
