Fortune magazine last week reported 16 of the world’s 20 worst polluted cities are in China, so it’s appropriate Range Rover chose the Beijing Motor Show to unveil its hybrid-powered long wheelbase model.
The long-wheelbase Range Rover Hybrid will join the Range Rover Sport hybrid as being the first diesel hybrids sold in China.
Under the bonnet is Range Rover’s 3.0-litre SDV6 engine with a 35kW/170Nm electric motor integrated with the eight-speed ZR automatic transmission.
The range Rover Hybrid can cover up to 1.6kms on zero-emissions pure EV mode at and average speed of 48kms.
