Range Rover has boosted the lineup of the world’s best luxury SUV with, for the first time in 20 years, the launch of long wheelbase variants.
The stretched Rangies will debut shortly at the Los Angeles and Guangzhou motor shows and are designed to allow limousine customers to choose a Range Rover instead of traditional prestige sedans.
Back seat passengers are the beneficiaries – an extra 140mm of legroom and an extra recline for the ‘executive’ (two-seater rear) to 17 degrees. A normal three-seat bench rear seat is also available.
As you would expect, Range Rovers sharp design team has delivered the long wheelbase version while still retaining the hallmark exterior style of the latest model.
Range Rover will launch the long-wheelbase version in Vogue, Vogue SE and Autobiography models, powered by TDV6, SDV8 or supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engines.
