Production Confirmed For Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Sports Car

Jaguar has confirmed its gorgeous hybrid-powered C-X75 sports supercar will be produced – with production limited to 250 cars and prices starting at around $1.2 million.

And in order to develop the specialized aerodynamics, carbon fibre composite manufacturing and hybrid drivetrain, Jaguar will produce the C-X75 in collaboration with the British Grand Prix racing team Williams F1.

A show-stopper in concept form at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, production versions of the Jaguar C-X75 will employ a gasoline engine and two electric motors with the capability to drive all four wheels and accelerate from zero to 100km/h in about three seconds.

Impressively the Jaguar C-X75 returns emissions below 99g/km and has an all-electric running range of 50kms.

Tata Motors, Jaguar’s parent company has purchased a significant holding in a company called Bladon jets with expertise to develop the micro turbine technology for the C-X75’s petrol engine.

Jaguar has also promised ‘Supercar’ levels of sales and service for the lucky 250 who purchase a C-X75.
