Volvo Australia has announced local details for its ground-breaking all-new XC90 full-size SUV.
Changes for the model range with the entry grade versions now labeled ‘Momentum’, mid-grade adopts the ‘Inscription’ minoker while the range-topping version remains the sporty R-Design.
The entry-level model is the D5 Diesel Momentum priced at $89,950, kick-off for petrol versions is the T6 Petrol Momentum at $93,950 while the technically-fascinating T8 ‘Twin Engine’ T8 petrol hybrid model is exclusively in the R-Design grade and stickered at $122,950.
Every Volvo XC90 is all-wheel-drive via an eight-speed automatic transmission and every engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder.
D5 Diesel models deliver 165kW of power at 4250rpm and peak torque of 470Nm between 1750-2500rpm.
T6 Petrol versions provide 236kW of power at 5700rpm and peak torque of 400Nm between 2200-4500rpm.
For the T8 Twin Engine petrol hybrid Volvo says the petrol engine delivers 236kW and the electric motor adds 60kW.
