Like rivals Subaru and Toyota, Australia’s biggest-selling import brand Mazda has confirmed price reductions across most models flowing from the Japan Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
While the Japan FTA doesn’t start until 15 January and will be phased-in, there’s good news for Mazda buyers with the Japanese giant delivering price cuts effective from 1 January.
Across the Mazda range (except Mazda2 and BT50 which already arrive duty-free from Thailand) savings can be had in the range of $403 to $963 for petrol-powered vehicles or $268 to $347 for those with diesel engines (reductions in duty for diesel-powered cars are being phased-in by the Federal Government over the next 2-3 years).
“We are excited to deliver extra value to our customers by kick-starting the new year with sharper pricing across most of the Mazda range,” explained Mazda Australia boss Martin Benders. “There is no need to wait for those duty reductions mid-month, as adjustments have been made effective 1 January.”
