The second-generation Porsche Panamera isn’t even out yet. No buyer, for any price, has taken delivery of his or her own car yet. Still, if you’re Porsche, there’s no reason to stop giving people more excuses to want to hand over their money.
And so we come to Porsche Exclusive, an arm of the Stuttgart automaker that can craft special versions of their factory cars with exclusive trim, paint finishes, and other aesthetic elements not available from the regular dealer.
There are, of course, a full palette of options for the prospective owner to go to town with on their own Panamera, but Porsche Exclusive shows us what’s possible to whet our appetite.
Here, Porsche Exclusive has previewed its own interpretation of the upcoming Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo, garnished with their own special bits and pieces. On the 4S, we see a set of unique two-tone polished 20-inch wheels, blacked-out headlamps and tail lamps, as well as gloss black tips for its quad tail pipes.
For both the 4S and Turbo there seems to be a gloss black treatment for the front grille and rear diffuser too. The Panamera Turbo, far from being the only actual turbocharged model in the range, is still the fastest and therefore wears the 21-inch black wheels with aplomb and settles nicely with the GT Silver Metallic exterior colour.
The interior too has Porsche Exclusive touches. The 4S has a brown leather interior with polished wood inserts while Turbo’s red cabin is sure to turn a few stray heads. As with all Panameras, they both come with the expansive touchscreen infotainment system up front and here are also equipped with a entertainment screen for each rear seat.
Units by Porsche Exclusive are no different mechanically to their standard factory counterparts. The 4S still boasts a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that generates 328kW and 550Nm while the Panamera Turbo features Porsche’s new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mill, pushing out 410kW and 770Nm to rocket past anyone else on the highway.
