Good news for the lucky few who will purchase the stunning Porsche 918 Spyder – it’s even faster than expected.
The hybrid supercar - which will shortly commence customer deliveries - now accelerates from zero to 60mph is just 2.5 seconds and with the ‘Weissach Package’ covers zero to 124mph in a mere 7.2 seconds.
Perhaps even more impressive, running ion emission-free pure electric power, the Porsche 918 Spyder covers zero to 62mph in 6.2 seconds or, again with the ‘Weissach package’ in 6.1 seconds.
Porsche says the 918 Spyder with the ‘Weissach Package’ holds the road car lap record for Germany’s Nurburgring circuit at 6:57 minutes.
