Naturally the Paris Motor Show is the ‘biggie’ for the French brands and Peugeot isn’t being left out of the rush, announcing the global debut of its stunning Onyx hybrid sports car.
Strictly a concept car, the Peugeot Onyx evolves the French giant’s current design philosophy to the extreme and inside breaks new eco-friendly ground with, for example, some items made from re-cycled newspapers (treated and made into logs).
That’s good but this is a supercar after all and pleasingly there’s an F1-style square steering wheel and lots of carbon fibre.
Power comes from a 3.7-litre V8 turbo-diesel which normally delivers 447kW of power but this can be boosted to 507kW thanks to the hybrid system.
Don’t look for this one in Peugeot dealerships any time soon.
