Peugeot’s all-new, three-cylinder 108 compact city car has been launched in Europe and is under consideration by Peugeot Australia.
Peugeot has unveiled its stylish newcomer in both five-door hatchback and three-door convertible versions (roof colours for the soft-top are black, grey, red or purple!).
Styling, while not cutting-edge, is cute and modern with the distinctive Peugeot front ‘face’, modern headlights and nice curves for the bodywork. At the rear is a massive glass tailgate with opaque masking at the bottom edge – a clever innovation in the compact city car segment.
Inside, like the Holden Barina, the speedometer is attached to the steering column and there’s a large, seven-inch touchscreen. And there are multiple personalization options – for example the ‘Dressy’ theme brings houndstooth-trimmed cloth while the ‘Kilt’ theme introduces a tartan design.
At 3.47m in length and 1.62m in width, the Peugeot 108 is s true compact city car but provides a handy 196l of cargo space.
