Peugeot has released the first images of its all-new 301 small sedan which will be launched at the Paris Motor Show. Unfortunately the good-looking newcomer is only slated for left-hand-drive production at Peugeot’s assembly plant in Vigo, Spain.
Power comes from a choice of 1.2-litre and 1.6-liyre petrol engines and a 1.6-litre diesel. Of course the 1.2-litre is Peugeot’s new 53kW three-cylinder engine.
Measuring just 4.44-metres in length, Peugeot says the 301’s 2.54-metre wheelbase affords best-in-class interior space and cargo capacity (506-litres).
The 301 debuts Peugeot’s new global model numbering system and continues the French brand’s excellent new styling trend with its elegant and athletic look.
While not coming to Britain or Australia, the Peugeot 301 will become one of Peugeot’s biggest-selling models with strong sales likely in Eastern and Central Europe, the Middle East, Gulf and African States as well as some Latin American markets.
