Ahead of its global debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot has released preliminary details and images of the all-new 308 hatchback.
Looks inside and out are much more sophisticated and Peugeot says the quality of trim materials will give its crucial all-new small car a significant boost in the quest to claw-back sales from the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus.
At 4.25-meters in length the all-new Peugeot 308 is identical to the Golf and with 470-litres of cargo space delivers family-friendly space.
The all-new 308 rides on Peugeot’s new lightweight modular EMP2 platform which is currently used in the latest Citroen C4 Picasso.
No word yet on powerplants – more details will emerge in the lead-up to Frankfurt.
Expect the all-new Peugeot 308 in Australia during the first half of next year.
