Peugeot’s stylish RCZ sports coupe has won a Red Dot ‘Best Of The Best’ design award in the automotive category.

Red Dot is the world’s leading design award. Every year thousands apply for a Red Dot – decided by an international jury of 30 cutting edge designers.

The Red Dot acknowledgment follows the RCZ’s win in the 2009 ‘Most Beautiful Car In The World’ award.

Due on sale in Australia next Spring, the RCZ certainly pushes the boundaries of automotive design – a requirement for the Red Dot awards – with its distinctive ‘double bubble’ roof/rear window and twin aluminium arches.

It’s distinctly cutting edge – as we’ve come to expect with recent Peugeot creations.

The company says the RCZ starts a new chapter in the history of Peugeot sports cars. It’s a serious intent as illustrated by substantial investments in its motor sport activities with sports car racing at Le Mans.

Automotive experts throughout the world have stamped the French brand as “one to watch” and we look forward to seeing the RCZ on Australian roads later this year.
