Peugeot Australia has taken the front running in complying with upcoming Euro 5 standards for reduced exhaust emissions.
With the 207, 308, 3008, 407, 4007 and upcoming RCZ models all powered by Euro 5-compliant engines, across the range Peugeot Australia averages exhaust emissions of 171g/km with 10 variants good for less than 135g/km.
Australian regulations will require all new cars sold from 2015 to have exhaust emissions less than 190g/km - so Peugeot customers are already ahead of the national standard.
'For some time now, we have been aware, as have the rest of the motor industry that emissions are of a growing concern to motorists both here and world wide,' explained Ken Thomas, General Manager/Director of Peugeot Australia. 'Which is precisely why all passenger and SUV vehicles in our range will have transitioned from Euro 4 to Euro 5 standards by the end of this year. Indeed a high proportion of our current model range is already available for sale with this advanced technology.'
