After Kia made headlines for offering a 7-year warranty, French carmaker Peugeot has upped the ante, offering a highly-competitive 8-year, unlimited mileage warranty across its range. However, not everything is as it seems: This is only being offered on existing stock of MY2015 cars, and not properly-new units.
At present, this deal should only exclude the updated models of the 208 Active (featuring Apple CarPlay), the 308 Active (with its new rear-view camera and GPS), and the 308 GTI 270. Everything else, from the 208 hatch up to the 4008 SUV are subject to this offer, and should prove to be a very interesting proposition indeed.
There is another caveat, though: There are limited models available that meet this requirements, and it’s as of yet unclear how much a potential owner can specify, if he or she can make any choices at all. But with sales this year slowing down for the brand, this might just be what it needs to get the momentum going back in the right direction.
