French manufacturer Peugeot has today announced a recall for its 308 GTi hot hatch, over growing concerns about faulty tyre valves.

Peugeot reports that the 64 units affected, all 2015 308 GTi hot hatchbacks, were potentially fitted with the faulty tyre valves. These valves may, over time, cause a loss of air pressure within the tyre. In turn, this will affect the handling of the car, and potentially lead to an accident.

The 308 GTI’s in question were sold between August 1st 2015 and 31st October 2015. A VIN list of the affected cars can be viewed here.

Owners will be contacted by Peugeot Australia via mail, but we advise affected owners to visit their local dealership at the soonest convenience to have their tyre valves swapped out. For more info, Peugeot Australia’s customer service can be reached at 1-300-304-077.
