To showcase its new 3008 compact SUV, Peugeot is revisiting its 1953 Redex Trial success with two of the new models tackling an 8,579 re-run of the route. 

Starting from Sydney, the two XSE model 3008s with the 1.6-litre HDi turb-diesel engine, will head north to Townsville before turning left to Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Adelaide, Melbourne and back to Sydney. 

That’s not quite the exact 1953 Redex Trial route, but the 15-day trip will visit many rural Peugeot dealers and is an ideal way to show the durability of the 3008 and celebrate the company’s 200th anniversary.
