Peugeot will unveil its 2008 compact SUV at the Paris Motor Show ahead of production next year.
The ’urban SUV’ will be powered by Peugeot’s fuel-slipping turbocharged 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 81kW of power.
In Europe, the 2008 will be Peugeot’s rival to vehicles like the Ford EcoSport and Opel Mokka in a market segment which is showing considerable strength. Holden will launch its version of the Mokka (the Trax) next year.
Peugeot 2008 matches its rivals for compactness. An overall length of just 4140mm and width of 1740mm means Peugeot’s new baby SUV is actually smaller than Volkswagen’s Tiguan.
