Open Top Fiat 500 TwinAir For Australia

Look for the oh-so-cute open-top version of the Fiat 500C TwinAir to arrive at the same time as the hardtop version – early next year.

The remarkable three-cylinder 0.875-litre TwinAir powerplant delivers 63kW/145Nm and replaced the current 1.4-litre engine in the Fiat 500. It’s a goer – zero to 100km/h in just 11 seconds – while returning fuel consumption as low as 3.6l/100kms…that’s 30 per cent better than the 1.4-litre engine.

“Given that the open top Fiat 500C is all about enjoying fresh air motoring it would have been wrong not to have the TwinAir engine and its major contribution to the environment available in the Fiat 500C from day one,” explained Fiat Australia boss Andrei Zaitev.

Fiat will announce full details and local pricing early in the new year.
