The face of New York City’s iconic yellow cabs is changing and Nissan is at the forefront as it unveils its NV200 Taxi at the Taxi Of Tomorrow Design Expo running for the next five days in the ‘City That Never Sleeps.’
It’s a massive win for Nissan as the company has secured exclusive supply of New York's yellow cabs for 10 years starting 2013.
The Nissan NV200 Taxi is a van-based vehicle affording maximum convenience, passenger and cargo space. Significantly Nissan sought input from thousands of New York cabbies and customers in fitting out the interior.
For many years Nissan has supplied diesel engines for London's iconic Black Cabs.
