Nissan has chosen its high-profile participation at this weekend’s Le Mans 24-Hour race to debut a production version of its new Juke Nismo model – the first of a number for Nismo-branded Nissans.
The British-built Nissan Juke compact SUV gets the full treatment from Nismo - Nissan’s motorsport/performance car division - with an aero kit including lower front and rear bumpers, wider fenders, side skirts, a modified grille and rear-hatch spoiler plus 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside are suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats plus Nismo gauges, pedals and gear-lever plus unique door trims.
Under the bonnet is a Nismo-enhanced, turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, while the suspension gets stiffening and torque vectoring and the steering is sharpened.
The Nissan Juke Nismo goes on-sale in Europe early next year but there are no plans for launch in Australia.
