Nissan's competent compact crossover, the Dualis, scores a facelift next year with new looks and added refinement.
Simultaneously, Nissan Australia hopes to add a long-wheelbase seven-seat model to the lineup - but this has not been confirmed as yet.
Visually, the new Dualis is highlighted by major front-end changes with a new bonnet, front fenders, bumper, grille and lights. The rear end scores some minor aerodynamic changes and new clear lens tail lights with 12 LEDs for extra brightness.
The changes have lead to a slight reduction in drag with the Cd down to 0.33.
Inside are new instruments, an upgraded drive computer, low level lighting around the footwell and extra storage bins.
A new 'acoustic' windscreen and extra insulation around the bulkhead plus new window sealing around the A-pillar have contributed to reduced NVH.
The Dualis scores highly amongst the compact crossover hatchbacks for its combination of interior space, nice driving dynamics and handy 102kW/198Nm 2.0-litre engine. With front-wheel-drive models starting from $24,990, pricing is sharp.
Nissan says the facelifted Dualis is due mid-2010
