From 2013, Nissan's NV 200 taxi will become the famous New York Yellow Cab and in preparation the company has previewed the vehicle’s interior at the Taxi Of Tomorrow display now running in the Big Apple.
Immediately obvious are the large sliding doors and easy entry, flat floor and transparent roof. There's also individual air-conditioning controls for each passenger, USB charging points and a massive cargo area.
More than 600,000 people use a taxi every day in New York City and in fact the specifications used by Nissan to craft the interior of the new NV 200 were created after a massive research project with direct feedback from New Yorkers who are frequent cab users.
