Car Showroom has just returned from three weeks in France and Italy and we lost count of the number of Nissan Jukes we encountered. Well the good news is the hot-selling crossover (a creation of Nissan Europe) has been confirmed for local sale next year.
The confirmation ends one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry (Nissan Australia included footage of the Juke in a promotional video some months back).
Pulsar, Patrol, Altima, Pathfinder and now Juke – Nissan is on the march with new products scheduled for launch on average every couple of months for the next two years.
Nissan Australia will sell the Juke in both two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
Overseas reports provide glowing endorsement for the Juke and while we haven’t driven one, we have sat inside and can confirm this is one clever crossover with much to offer for both families and recreational enthusiasts. And, as you can tell from the photographs, the days of ‘boxy’ SUVs are over…at least at Nissan where a design renaissance is in full swing.
