Reflecting the sales growth in this region, Honda has opened a new Asia and Oceania Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Thailand.
Honda first established a Thai facility 45 years ago and currently produces 3.3million cars and motorcycles there annually for export to 80 countries.
Currently the R&D Centre is working on an Eco-car project that was initiated by the Thai Government.
The Thailand R&D facility is Honda's fourth outside Japan. Others are located in North America, Europe and China.
