Model Year 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models are now available to order from local dealerships.
Highlights include an extra 40Nm of torque for the SDV8 engine, new colours inside and out, new alloy wheels and panoramic roof.
Under the bonnet, the handy SDV8 engine now delivers 259kW/740Nm (the latter from 1700rpm – 3300rpm) and drives through a revised ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission. Range Rovers equipped with the 250kW/450Nm 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine score a new ZF 8HP45 eight-speed automatic transmission which is 6.0kgs lighter than the previous generation.
Both MY15 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport derivatives will be identified by their distinctive puddle lamps (light projected in the shape of the vehicle’s silhouette – very cool). You can also select 19-inch alloy wheels in Satin Dark Grey and a fixed panoramic glass roof with power blinds.
Range Rover models can be ordered in new colours – ‘Aruba Silver’ and ‘Kaikoura Stone’ – and long wheelbase models now have optional 22-inch alloy wheels.
Debuting inside is Range Rover’s ‘Intelligent Cargo Mode’ which, when folding the second row seats to maximize cargo capacity, senses if they’re about to make contact with the backs of the front seats, moves the front seats forwards and then returns them to their original position once the second row seats have completed folding – brilliant!
Range Rover Autobiography Black models add the ‘Executive Class’ package with two individual rear seats, a re-designed extended centre console with electric-operated leather-trimmed or timber veneer centre tables and bottle chiller.
And Range Rover Autobiography Black long Wheelbase can now be ordered. It features a new Lunar/Cirrus interior colour combination, new-design seats in Semi-Aniline leather and unique 21-inch or 22-inch alloy wheels.
