In order to placate demand from professional race teams and private track day enthusiasts, Subaru Australia has a limited number of motorsport-prepared WRX STI vehicles now available.
Officially called the WRX STI NR4 Spec, Subaru has the cars available from $38,000 direct from the dock at Port Kembla, NSW.
The four-door sedan WRX racers are exclusively powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liyre engine and are FIA homologated for FIA WRC2, ERC2 regional and progressive national championships (they meet the FIA’s new NR4 regulations which replace the previous N4 and R4 classes).
These special Subaru WRX models cannot be road-registered and buyers need to fit an FIA-approved roll cage which is available for order and fitment post-delivery.
Long term Subaru motorsport partner Possum Bourne Motor Sport is developing as range of packages for these cars tailored for both professional and amateur racers.
