Audi’s search for improvement knows no boundaries and now the team from Ingolstadt has confirmed fine-tuning has delivered an even more fuel-efficient Audi A4 2.0 TDIe.
The newcomer is scheduled for launch next February.
Fuel consumption for the 100kW/320Nm, 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel engine is down to 4.6l/100kms and emissions have been reduced to 120g/km. Nevertheless, the new Audi A4 fuel economy king still accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds and offers a top speed of 215km/h.
Changes to reduce fuel consumption include fitment of taller ratios in the six-speed manual transmission, a switch to low rolling resistance tyres, some aerodynamic tweaks and lower ride height plus an economy gear-shift light for the driver.
