MINI 50th Anniversary Models Announced for Australia
Look for some very special MINI anniversary models in local showrooms from November as the famous marque celebrates 50 years.
Named after famous London addresses the MINI 50 Mayfair and MINI 50 Camden - available in Cooper, Cooper S and Cooper D Hatch variants - are kitted out in manners appropriate for those iconic addresses.
The MINI 50 Mayfair offers high quality luxury materials and colour schemes reflecting the classic elements of this stylish locale.
For the first time a glorious Hot Chocolate metallic paintwork is available (with a white roof) with light brown Toffee metallic bonnet stripes and white pinstriping. Further colour options include Pepper White or Midnight black.
Wheels are an exclusive 17-inch 12-spoke design in either alloy or white.
Inside is plush leather lounge upholstery finished in Toffee/carbon Black and even a bicolour Toffee/black sports leather steering wheel.
The MINI 50 Camden is the sports version. Exterior paintwork is finished in exclusive white silver metallic or alternatively Midnight Black metallic or Horizon Blue metallic.
Unique three-dimensional silver stripes on the side shoulders of the bonnet add a further sporty touch.
The side indicator light frames feature a Union Jack in black and white.

Inside are body-hugging sports seats in black and white leather/cloth trims.
MINI 50 Camden also boasts a unique in-car management system called 'Mission Control' which uses different dialogues according to the function (seat belt warnings, door open or low fuel etc) which allows the driver to interpret and respond accordingly.
Both MINI 50 Mayfair and MINI 50 Camden are equipped with premium Harman Kardon audio systems with high performance digital amplifiers and speakers.
Extensive customization options are available for both.
Power comes from the current 1.6-litre naturally aspirated or turbocharged petrol engines or the remarkable four cylinder diesel which is currently Australia's most fuel-efficient diesel powerplant.
The MINI 50 Camden is priced from $36,100 while the luxurious Mayfair starts at $37,000.
