Good news for MINI customers with the announcement that a further 200 MINI RAY models are on the way to Australia.
The handsomely-equipped, $28,800 drive-away MINI RAY has been a roaring success with local customers quickly snapping-up the initial 2010 allocation of 300 vehicles.
Powered by MINI’s 1.6-litre engine, the MINI Ray delivers 72kW/153Nm to propel the entry-level MINI from zero to 100km/h in 10.5 seconds. But with combined cycle fuel consumption of 5.4l/100kms, the compact cutie can cover over 700kms on one tank of petrol.
And in further good news, MINI has announced its top-selling optional Chilli Package is now standard-fit across the range.
The exact components of the MINI Chilli Package vary from model-to-model but each vehicle gets up-scale wheels, automatic air-conditioning and combination cloth/leather interior.
“With an existing take-up rate of over 60 per cent, we are thrilled to announce the Chilli features as standard across MINI hatch, Cabrio and Clubman models” explained David Woollcott, National MINI Manager.
