MINI has taken inspiration from its sibling under the BMW umbrella, the Scrambler line of motorcycles, to create a one-of-a-kind Clubman All4 that looks ready to take on any much rough stuff as you’d dare subject it to.
Sadly, however, as intriguing as the idea of owning a properly off-road-capable MINI is, this amalgamation of BMW R nineT Scrambler and a rather docile MINI Clubman is not for sale and probably won’t be coming further down the pipe.
The MINI Clubman All4 Scrambler has been given a thorough toughening up, with a raised ride height, motorcycle-inspired circular grille-mounted front lights, dark cladding around the car’s edges and a set of wheels wearing very pronounced off-road tyres.
It’s exterior is finished in matte with the Frozen Grey paint finish, the same typically seen on BMW’s M cars. There’s also a luggage rack mounted onto the black room and a classic large leather suitcase thrown onto the showcase car for good measure.
Inside, the MINI doesn’t have that much to separate it from the regular variety Clubman. It’s upholstery a mixture of Alcantara and Nappa leather in a striking tan colour and ‘Scrambler’ branding debossed into the headrest.
The car itself was revealed in Italy at the Salone dell’Auto Parco Valentino in Turin to celebrate 100 years of the BMW Group and the 50th anniversary of the German’s marque’s market presence there, making it another in a long and growing line of concept vehicles and special editions to commemorate BMW’s centenary.
