Britain’s What Car? Magazine has awarded the MINI Cooper D its 2011 ‘Fun Green Car’ award.
Trust MINI to develop a car with the brand’s hallmark driving enjoyment yet emissions so low it is exempt from London’s Congestion Charge.
Considering exhaust emissions across its entire range of vehicles, MINI is ranked among the best five vehicle manufacturers.
“What Car? has long been a fan of the British-built MINI. The MINI 1.6D Cooper proves that being green does not mean you have to wave goodbye to driving enjoyment. It has very low running costs, because it emits just 99g/km of C02 and does 3.17l/100kms. The Cooper D is without question the most fun way to go green and keep a bit more cash in your pocket,” explained What Car? chief Chas Hallett.
