Introduction of two front-wheel-drive variants has slashed the entry price for Mazda’s highly-praised CX-9 seven-seat SUV.
Entry to the Mazda CX-9 lineup now starts at $44,425 for the new ‘Classic’ front-wheel-drive (FWD version), while the entry-level all-wheel-drive variant is now the ‘Luxury’ grade priced at $56,225. The range-topping Grand Touring CX-9 enjoys a price reduction of over $1,000 and is now stickered at $62,106.
The Mazda CX-9 is a Car Showroom favourite for its combination of seven seats, slick styling and nice on-road dynamics. While the ‘Classic FWD’ is the so-called ‘entry’ model it comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, auto headlights, cruise control, three-zone climate control air-conditioning, power windows and mirrors plus stylish leather for the steering wheel and gear lever – that’s a lot of seven-seat SUV for $44K.
The Mazda CX-9 Luxury FWD is another addition to the range, gaining 20-inch alloy wheels, a glass sunroof and 10-speaker BOSE audio amongst its extras.
Addition of satellite navigation brings Mazda’s seven-inch touch-screen and Bluetooth with audio streaming.
No changes under the bonnet with Mazda CX-9 enjoying great performance from Mazda’s silky-smooth, 204kW/366Nm V6 petrol engine.
The new range is:

Luxury FWD with sat. nav. $54,325
